Principal

Pagiel Chimudzi is married to Anita and they have two children Mutsa (15) and Matthew (10). Pagiel is a Chartered Accountant (Zimbabwe) and is also a holder of a Diploma in Theology from the Harare Theological College. Pagiel serves as an Elder at Bethany Chapel and is also involved in the young people’s work there. Pagiel is also an itinerant preacher at three other assemblies within Harare. Pagiel heads up the administration of the College and brings with him a wealth of experience from different sectors of industry and commerce. Pagiel would love to pursue theological studies on how culture influences one’s faith and approach to God.

Academic dean

Martin Ricquebourg is a keen theologian, apologist and philosopher-of-sorts with a background in both the sciences and theology. He graduated from the University of Cape Town with a first class honours in Computer & Electrical Engineering (BSc). Progressing from the sciences, he spent the next 8 years studying at the Bible Institute of South Africa where he earned his Masters in theology. During that time he spent two years studying the life and legacy of Charles Darwin and wrote a presuppositional apology for his Masters dissertation. He is currently working on his PhD on the Influence of Historical Science on the Interpretation of Genesis 1-11 from 1770 to 1920.

Registrar

Silvia Linington joined HTC in September 2004. She came to this country in 1989 as a development worker with a German organization as a teacher in the rural areas (Mubayira, Mhondoro). She got married to Greg in 1994, and has lived and worked in Harare ever since. Silvia has a teaching degree (equivalent of BA Hons in English, Maths and RE) from a German university, a Certificate of Higher Education in Missiology and Biblical Studies (All Nations Christian College, UK), an MTh in Old Testament (UNISA) and a DTh in Old Testament (UNISA). Silvia loves teaching and studying the Bible, in particular Old Testament and Hebrew, and outside college she enjoys reading adventure novels, woodwork, dress-making and entertaining.

Dean of students

Ian Amess is a third generation Zimbabwean who spent many years in commerce and industry before listening to the call to serve God in a full-time capacity. He holds a BTh (Hons.) and has lectured at HTC since 2008. Ian’s interests lie in theology and languages which form a part of his ongoing studies and development. Besides theological education, Ian is also involved in pulpit ministry. Ian is married to Ros and they have one (adult) son, Geoff.

Librarian

Caston Munhu is the librarian at HTC. He has a BSc (Hons) in Library and Information Science from Zimbabwe Open University and a Diploma in Theology from Harare Theological College. Caston is also involved in ministry with the Church of the Nazarene where he serves as the youth pastor. He is married to Pauline and God blessed them with 4 children.

Assistant librarian

Felistas Mutonono is the Assistant Librarian with a background in library and information science, sociology and development work. She graduated with a Higher National Diploma in Library and Information Science from the Harare Polytechnic, a first degree in Sociology from Calvary University (UK) and a certificate in development studies from the University of South Africa. Currently she is working towards a certification in Biblical Studies with George Whitefield University in Cape Town.

Adjunct lecturer

Sammie Mangwiro is a Pastor of Glad Tidings Fellowship Budiriro Assembly. He is a scholar with a strong social and academic consciousness and humanitarian, deeply concerned about the state of the world, for which he has great compassion and idealism. He graduated at Pan Africa Christian College with a Bachelor of Bible and Theology in 2005, and in 2015 graduated with a Master of Arts Ministerial Studies (leadership Concentration) at Global University Western Cape. He is mission minded and has a passion for identifying, developing, and releasing emerging leaders into ministry for the fulfillment of the Great Commission. He has been in ministry as lead pastor of Glad Tidings Fellowship Budiriro for the past 15 years and is married to Elizabeth and they have two adult children.

Receptionist

Lucy Chifunyise has been at HTC since 2012.  She is a mother of 3 children, aged 20, 14 and 10.  Lucy is also studying for her Diploma in Theology at HTC.  She is a member of Faith Ministries Borrowdale Community Church, and serves in the music team.

Administrator

Jane Mabika is a born again Christian with a diploma in book-keeping and accounts. She is currently working on her diploma in theology.
