At HTC we offer a number of programmes and courses designed to suit a variety of needs in the church community. All of our main programmes are offered in the evenings from 4pm to 8pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. We realise that very few students can afford to stop work in order to study so we have structured our programmes to cater for students who already live busy lives.
We offer the following programmes at HTC:
Foundational Certificate in Biblical Studies (5 courses)
Foundational Certificate in Biblical Languages (4 courses)
Foundational Certificate in Ministry (5 courses)
Extensions Studies Certificate (8 courses)
Certificate in Theology (9 courses = 108 credits)
Advanced Certificate in Theology (11 courses = 121 credits)
Diploma in Theology (20 courses = 240 credits)
For students who would like to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, HTC has partnered with South African Theological Seminary (SATS). This partnership exempts students from 180 credits worth of SATS courses required for the degree (see page 11 for more details).
Each year is divided into 3 academic terms, following the Zimbabwe schooling system. This means that hard-working students can complete a Diploma in Theology in just 3 years, by committing themselves to 2 or 3 evenings in the week.
Students are also expected to participate in Christian Ministry on a
regular basis, and a report to this effect from their local church will
be required at the end of their studies.
